Kuehne + Nagel provides a special storage room at its Mexico City Airport location for pharmaceuticals and other export product with requirements for temperature-controlled storage. Kuehne + Nagel is the first major logistics company to offer this service.
The new storage room, which opened in March of 2004, is particularly attractive to airfreight exporters who need to maintain the integrity of temperature-sensitive products throughout the shipment cycle. The high-security room is humidity controlled and maintains stored products between 15º AND 20º Celsius until shipments are ready for exports. Kuehne + Nagel’s airport facility is located less than 1 km from the Mexico City International Airport.
Because freight forwarders generally lack this capability, exporters such as pharmaceutical manufacturers have not been able to insure the adequate handling of their temperature-sensitive products, especially during the warm summer months. Kuehne + Nagel can recieve and store export merchandise and process all of the necessary export documentation, while maintaining the integrity of the product.
